Why work with Transkreate?

Transkreate is a one-stop shop for your multilingual content needs. We are a team of translators, copywriters, localization specialists, and intercultural consultants focused on creating excellent, user-driven online content that connects and engages. Transkreate focuses solely on content designed to increase revenue because that is what we know how to do best.

What languages do you offer?

We work in all European languages. Upon request, Transkreate can also provide you with content services in languages such as Arabic, Japanese, Korean, or Chinese.

What does your workflow look like?

The first project stage is the consultation call. That is when we learn about your project, your goals, and we agree on the deliverables. For transcreation and localization projects, we then require to see the source materials and any relevant texts. Based on your briefing, we then send you a project outline, a timeline, and a quote. Once you accept our proposal, we then move on to the research phase to learn everything about your dream clients, your competitors, any potential cultural aspects to take into account, etc. Only after thorough research, we proceed with the actual execution of the project. Especially for transcreation projects, where adaptation is highly necessary, we do not make any major changes without prior consultation with your team. We make all the needed adjustments after the first feedback round and voilá!

Are there any changes included in the project fee?

Yes, the first round of changes after your feedback is always on us.

Do you also tackle super urgent projects?

While we do not recommend tackling business-sensitive texts such as website texts, blog entries, social media posts, product presentations, etc. last-minute, we strive to accommodate our clients’ specific needs and find the best solution at any given time.

What is the difference between translation and transcreation?

As the name suggests, transcreation implies translation an (re)creation of the original text. Texts that have been made to inform the reader usually require a faithful translation. But when a text has been created to evoke certain feelings and make the reader take a certain course of action, a faithful translation won’t do the job because there is more than just language involved. People in different countries speak, think, and act differently, based on their cultural background and upbringing. When we transcreate, we take into account all these differences and create a text that works just as well as the original, but in a different culture. In other words, transcreation = translation + copywriting + consultation + cultural adaptation. It is a highly strategic process designed to make your business-critical copy culturally fit in any location.

What is localization?

Even if localization seems to have become a fancy word for translation, in reality is way more than that. Localization is a complex process that aims to make a product or a service fit for a foreign market. Think McDonald’s strategy to adapt its recipes and ingredients to the local palate and food culture. All marketing collaterals need then to be adapted as well. From colors, images, date formats, metric systems, payment methods to tone of voice and language in general.

Why should I work with a multilingual copywriter?

Your original marketing texts were most probably written by a professional copywriter. If you ask a translator who is not specialized in business-sensitive sales copy to make the same text work in another language, you are likely to get a faithful but tone-deaf translation that does not appeal to your target audience the way the original text did. We combine translation with copywriting and cultural sensitivity to create copy that helps you reach your goals across borders.
